    Somebody around here suggested that we have a Marine discussion area...

    on a Discus Forum...

    first of all I thought, mmmmm, nope, but then after some serious consideration put a few basic things together...

    The Amazon runs into the ocean so there really is an affiliation of sorts.

    Apparently the Amazon changes the salinity of the Atlantic Ocean for a radius of 200kms from the mouth.
