I need to know the rock placement, and the ratio of gold fish, to place in a 4ft tank.
Just spent half an a hour googling, and came up with nothing!
A picture wuld be handy too, if anyone has got one!

    Cheers

8x orange goldfish and one black goldfish.

Make sure the rocks are not sharp and are all smooth!

Put 6 goldfish for every foot of tank. Cover(read: crush) goldfish with heavy rocks or stones Should be great fertilizer for a planted tank!

All fish must go in the same time, tank should facing the main door, corner of tank much not point to any entrance.
This is for avoiding injury come to the people on that place. 9 fish also bring luck but you have to know where to put the tank.

The builders have enlisted their own help for the placement of the tank etc, we are building it next week, and doing all the internals, so as far as I know, it is all in its correct position.
I have done a few feng shui tanks in the past years, but have had a specialist present at the setting up, so we basically just followed instructions. They were a while ago and since I'm doing this one by myself, just wanted to get it right, I dont want to be responsible for any bad vibes brought on by my lack of knowledge on the subject!
The internet has so many different variables, so I thought I would ask here, and so far had good responses!
Thanks and keep any info coming!!

here's one article. there's a lot of conflicting information on the web.

An aquarium can be extremely effective at increasing wealth and luck. The best places for an aquarium are in kan (career) and hsun (wealth) guas, or near the front door. Combine eight orange fish and one black one, or eight black and one gold. If you’re using an aquarium to increase wealth, add nine coins to the tank (chose a metal that won’t harm your fish with any chemical reaction).

Be sure to keep your fish tank immaculately clean. Less-than-fresh water and algae-clogged filters won’t do your fish any good, and will send yucky-water chi out into the room. If any of your fish die, replace them immediately with bigger, more expensive ones.

thank God my girlfriend is not into Feng Shui. We'd need whales as replacements, by now.

As Ben said, 8 orange/red and 1 black. The orange represent positive energy. The black is there to obsorb negative energy. The combination of both is to produce wealth and prosperity.

Not supposed to place in front (directly facing) any door in a room. explanation is that if your fish are producing wealth, having them placed infront of the door represents throwing away your wealth (quite literally) out the door.

Place your tank in the south east corner as the south east represent wealth. north west represents fortune. and the flow of water should be inwards (towards the front of the tank).

I am just going off memory from what my aunts teach me.

Personally, i have my a goldfish tank which is facing a door (not the main one of the house) and it poses no problems. Actually looks great there which is the reason why i put it.

Then again, i don't believe in Feng Shui. It's more of a family tradition which i caught onto. but i do stick with the 8+1. More so because the 1 black helps compliment the other 8 fish and vice versa.

    Also..

if all your fish die. It means that there was so much negative energy the black fish could not handle obsorbing it all, so the others, being pure, contaminate themselves with negative energy in helping the owner not receive it.

A feng shui story i was once told about goldies.. kinda eases the pain in loosing the fish!

cause i know they sacrificed themselves for me! hehe..
