Explaining geo behaviour
guys,
thought Id ask for some advice from those experienced with geos.
I purchased 5 geos at 2inch a few months ago.
4 have exlpoded in terms of size , one easily doubling its size and more. I also have one that has stayed at about 2 - 2.5 inch. This one is generally excluded from the pack and tends to hang out by itself.
can anything be determined from this behavoiur e.g sexes of fish?? is it typical ?? will i always end up with an Alpha fish and one thats the weakest link e.g. discus like.
any info is appreciated

yes you will always end up with a runt
i have always found that there will always be one male who grows and grows leaving the others behind then that fish will usually pick off the smaller less dominant fish
i have always grown groups up then split them when they were about 6-8cm
hope this helps
cheers
