Discus spawned for the first time in community tank
I purchased 6 adult discus as a breeding project on the side. Currently maturing 3 breeding tanks and 3 grow out tanks.
I placed the discus in the community tank for now and one set has paired up and spawned already.
I’m looking for some advice on what is the best way to move the eggs. Do I wait until wriggler stage and quickly transfer them with the parents. Do I let them hatch and possibly get eaten by the tank mates then place the pair on their own in a breeding tank and wait for them to spawn again or do I move only the eggs and raise them without the parents.
I’ve bred multiple species of fish before but never discus and this is the first time I have kept them.
Any advice would be appreciated. Eggs are currently 48 hours old and have not yet been eaten by the parents or tank mates.
