These are my pride and joy, lately they have been exhibiting behaviour from what I've read consistent with spawning
Although they may be a little young. I've had them for about 7 months. So I'm guessing they might be a year old?

Just out of curiosity, what's your opinion about the speckling? I know some people don't mind it, but I've always been turned off by pigeon bloods because of it. Do you find that it gets gradually worse with time or?

I'm not really bothered by it, as long as the fish is healthy. The black background of the tank probably hasn't helped.
