Peppermint catfish

died after being in tank for about 3 days. Other one I purchased same time and from same fish shop is still alive. Also 2 BN are still ok that were purchased along with them. The tank has 4 discus and PH is about 6.5, temp 28-30 celcius. Any reason for catfish to die without explaination?.
