    Getting discus?

    Hello Guys!

I have had fish for a few years now. All kind of fish, all kind of sizes, both aquarium and fish.
Now i'm stuck with my 33 gallon aquarium. And i was thinking that i could get 3-4 discus in there? Never had discus before, so no experience at all! So... Do my aquarium even fit discus, what kind of discus should i get?

    I have a fluval 306 and a decent heater.

The picture is how my current aquarium looks like.

    Thanks

Make sure you do some good research before you get your fish. Do a search for stunted discus, sick Discus and temperatures and water change requirements. I think 4 fish maximum in that size of tank.

    Thanks for the reply.
You say 4 at maximum. Could a pecking order exist with only 3?
I know about the water changes. But i will look into the other suggestings.

Actually problems exists with less than 5. If you are planning on juvies that tank will work for a short time but upgrade to a 55g or 75g will be necessary for long term "T"
    125g Tenecor - Cardinal, Neon & Pristella Tetra - GBR's - Ghost Shrimp - Raphael Cats - Stendker Discus
    Rena XP4, Eheim 2075, 2A/C110,MaxiJet 1200, JEHMCO 500w Heater/Controller, 29g AGA-sick

Best advice I can give is start with quality fish and make sure the tank is well cycled. Where are you located?
