99 problems and they're all snails
I've got a snail Problem? Best way to get rid of Them? Have been removing as many as I can by hand but am losing the battle and my plants are taking some damage.
Cheers

Larvae
I've heard that clown loaches will eat them.
Get a few of them maybe and clear them out.
They're good fish too keep anyway.

Yeah I've heard that as well, just not keen on them they get to big, it's not a community tank and will pull up my HC. Any other Options?

I use Kusuri wormer for my discus, a side benefit is that it kills snails too. Give one dose then about 4-5 weeks late you will notice small snails, give them another dose and all small snails gone.

I second the clown loaches as a natural solution, maybe just borrow some for a month or so off someone.

hi
well the only way I know that will get rid of them for good is
I take out all fish and plants
then I go and get a 2l. thing of bleach and in it go's
it takes about 2 -3 day and all will be dead
then comes the fun part cleaning it all up
I full it and drain it about 4 -5 time
full it and drain it the next day
keep doing it to u can't small any bleach
then I get a small thing of safe and put the hole thing in
wait 2 days
then drain it again and full it up
then I get what I call a tester fish
like a baby fish or a guppy
put it in the tank and wait and see
if it is alive in 24-48 hrs. after then the tank is good
but don't forget to clean out your filter good
and your gravel
I have done it that way for over 20yrs and it works but u
have to be care full how u do it
and after it will be like a new tank
