Just downloaded my new discus collection I acquired over a week ago. Discus is new hobby now. Hope you like it.

hi eh those fish look great i still dont know what to think of the bulldogs i will have to see one in live to make up my mind .oh and welcome to the forum eh nice to have you along hope you injoy your stay

Hi Scott, the high types are called bulldog or bat. I learnt it from a breeder. :wink:

mmm not my sorta thing those ''bulldgos'' kinda look deformed to me IMHO, each to their own i guess :D

not your typical looking discus thats for sure
it reminds me of those ANgel discus that came out some time ago.

EH, they are your fish and you obviously think they are tops and that's cool. But those things are deformed massively. I don't dig them at all.

i do believe thats its a genetic deformity and, personally ,feel very strongly against it being encouraged, there's a lot of fantastic breeders in Singapore with some beautiful fish, so you are very lucky that you have the opportunity to source stock from among the best in the world.

The high fins or bulldog are the results of selective breeding, by using parents with high fins. Personally, I like the shape.

Yep - I'm definantly not a fan.
I would say they have selective breed the fish with a desired (Deformed) high body.
Love your other fish but mate. :wink:
