Wow, they are so nice.
Ravi, have you done anything different from other LFS?
Most LFS tried once or twice with Altum without much success of keeping them alive longer than the quarantine period.
Good to see that someone is finally doing it right.

Have a look at this thread guys.

I'm keeping a photographic record of these little fish. Wild altums are pretty difficult to keep, but I've done it before, and I do believe that I'll succeed in keeping them longer than two years this time.
They're not difficult to feed. They're quite happily consuming dry food and frozen blood worms as well as some beefheart and vegetable mix. They have a high demand for oxygen, so lots of surface movement is essential.
Getting the tank conditions right is the most important. They don't handle stress at all well, which is why they lose such a lot of the wild caught fish. If you get young fish through the ordeal of catching, shipping and quarantine, you have a more than fair chance of keeping them alive.
In the meantime, here's some photos of the ten for you.

Nothing Special guys,
Just make sure the PH level is around the 6, and the temperature is close to 30.It definitely helps if the stocks I get from overseas are good quality and quarantined for a longer period.
As I mentioned in my first post, they are eating any food I feed them.
Thanks
Rav

now remeber guys when you decide to purchase these little fellas there original tankmates will be there tankmates for life
