Damn Heaters

I had nine 20 day old fry all eating fatastic and growing really well ,Until this morning i went down to the aquarium and they are all dead except 2 B*#!*y heater packed it in over night .Any way the parents of these fry have more eggs on the cone so I will be a little more vigilant when it comes to checking the temp.

i understand exactly how ur feeling norto! i recently bought a marina temperature alarm (also personal reminder built in) and i think its the greatest invention ever!!!

its a little pricey for a thermometer but definately worth it. im planning to get 1 for all my tanks this summer.

I had a similar problem :x
Two day old eggs- looking really good and due to hatch anytime - heater packed in and temps went down to 26 degrees and colder. The next day the parents ate the eggs :cry: Maybe they knew something I didn't? - that the eggs would not be viable??
Anyway back to the drawing board - now I religiously check my temps just to make sure this doesn't happen again - as it makes for unhappy discus!!!
