Help anyone tried using Beef liver alone and mix it with other ingredients without using beef heart?

Is it true that in a mixture there must be a beef heart? If yes , why?

You can use a recipe without any beefheart in there if you wish. There's even one here listed in the stickies at the top of the page.

Beef liver can be used, but I used to cook it lightly first (microwave) just to make it more stable in the mix. The fish loved it.
