this is their second spawn, first time there were 8 wrigglers. male was 7 months old at first spawn :shock: these fish are fed sera granules and freeze dried bloodworm/tubifex.
they are kept at 90 liters per fish and get one 50% wc per week no water ager or additive of any kind.
wondering if i should switch the male to one of my red melons ?
any thoughts ?

Which is the male, and which is the female Samir.

I don't much like the idea of crossing a red with a blue diamond but if you have a red mate for the red fish, I'd be going that way.

the orange one is the male. he's my favorite fish so i thought i'd just let him have a good time :wink: and get some practice . i think one of my red melon pairs are female so maybe later when i have more space for i'll switch him over. i think its time i bought some books on discus genetics :?
