Hi all,
Just built a CO2 reactor for my very small tank (6G only). Its small and working pretty good so I thought of sharing the design.
The common gravel vaccum forced reactor design was not practical in my case due to very small tank size (6G only). I utilized the uplift tube of an old air driven corner filter and one small fine air stone...thats it. The flow from the already present small (very small in fact) internal filter is used draw the water in and out of the reactor.
Here is a schematic of the design.

I can rarely see a bubble escaping the tube and the plants are growing at a much better rate. So I assume its working pretty fine.

That's a good looking and very simple reactor. Must try building one like that.

Has anyone tried using raw sugar (brown sugar) in their yeast mix.

I did when I ran out of white sugar, and my bottle is still going strong after 4 weeks

White sugar seems to last me a max of 2 weeks. :?

i use white sugar an yeast always last about a month (4 weeks)

i think it depends on how much yeast u put in an how quick it eats off the sugar. If you put ina lot then itl start off really well then die down in a week or so!
