OCTOBER PHOTO COMPETITION.

We know you have been waiting for the next photo comp. Well we have a wonderful comp running for the month of October :P

Theme is "Planted Discus Tank"

So there you go, a wide shot of your planted discus tank. You may have other fish in the tank, but it must show at least one discus, and some plants (not necessarily fully planted. Plants growing on wood is okay)

As usual, minimal Photo Shopping please. Resizing is permitted.

A few tips on taking full tank shots, night time is better, turn out all room lighting and add extra light to the top of the tank if possible.

Clean the glass before you take that award winning pic which has been spoiled by water spots on the tank :wink:

Maybe Samir could post a photo of himself standing in front of his great tank. :wink: By the looks of it, and I'm only guessing, that looks like a approx 400x150x150cm tank which would make those discus pretty flipping huge!

Heres mine. Its a 180 gallon, pressurised co2, Greg Watson ferts, 3.8 wpg T5 lighting. I turned the lights back on for the picture after an hour of them being off. Most of the discus are hiding, but you can see a blood pigeon and blue diamond. Sorry fish!!!

Be patient folks. The extremely high quality of the photos has made this a pretty tough selection. Everyone is to be congratulated on their beautiful fish and tanks.

Three finalists are now being selected, and will be posted over the weekend. Members will then be asked to vote for 1st 2nd and 3rd placegetters.

Sam, all photos will be given equal consideration :P
