Ouch.... u gotta find a surviving long distance swimmer.
They're not on the allowable import list. They are NOTORIOUSLY hard to keep alive. Will not accept anything but LIVE FOOD. Has not known to be bred in captivity.
I've heard of them leaf fish being in Aust before but personally I wouldn't touch them with a 10foot barge pole at the prices asked. :?

there's actually a report of captive breeding them in H. Axelrod's first book on breeding tropical fishes (I don't have it here, but it's pre-1970). According to him it's not impossible to breed them. I've always wanted some of these guys, too, but never found them due to the restriction placed on them here ...
they're beautiful looking fish, but I guess not for australian tanks. maybe the import list will be updated some day, as it seems to be ridiculously out of date and god only knows what it's been based on in the first place.
