angelfish red eyes?

i have noticed many angelfish which have very pretty red eyes
Is this red eye a trait that is develeoped in the angelfish with age or is it there from the beginning

i currently have a few silver angels and the have silver/ orangish eyes

will this develop to the full reds eyes with age

I don't think so mate ... I've recently got into angelfish and done research on genetics and the red eye is a trait carried by certain lines ... Pretty much the same as discus really ... Some fish have a blood red eye some don't ...

I also believe it would have been a naturally occurring trait that has just been breed into different strains as its more attractive to some people ...

Sorry, miss read your question. I believe it to be a trait that is there from the beginning and does not develop as the fish ages .. :P
