any suggestions? i am confused....

[uh oh discus]

i just bought a 20 gal tank. i am NOT planning to put sand or anything of decorations in it just a BARE tank. i am wondering if its okay to add water with detoxifier and put in my discus in a week. the detoxifier will elimiate ammonia and nitrite and other chemicals come in tap water. but since i live in San Francisco the water condition is as good as it can get.(it is almost bottled water quality.) and i have an established bio-filter and i will just put dat in to get things started quick. any comments? i really want to add my discus in the new tank ASAP.

LoL, can't get over that user name. If you have an established bio filter it should be fine to put your discus in there today let alone next week. Don't put your filter in the tank without any fish for a week or you'll kill off the bio. Just keep a daily check on your water params for a week or so and they'll be fine.
