Hi gang
Who knows anything about Bio-home or has used it ?
It seems a lot of people are using it in Asia I have never heard of it.
The web site has big statements like this Biohome is by far the best bio-filter medium for your aquarium !

Link http://www.aqua-bio.com/en/biohome/biohome.html

thx

Sounds good Rat, but sintered glass is nothing new.

It's been around for a long time.

The only claim I doubt is the "removes nitrates" comment.

My Endi tank is about 200 mg/L Nitrate (NO3) before its weekly 40% water change if I can get my hands on some of this I could see if this % changes
lets see.

Jesus !!!!!

I'd be doing 2 or more 50% WC's a week with Nitrates at that level

Thats a DANGEROUS level of Nitrate !

All my tanks are less then 5ppm

as per previous, 200mg/L is dangerously high.

At best it will only stunt the Endi

At worst, well, lets not go there

Another option aside from more frequent water changes is to hook up a denitrification unit. I use an Aqua Medic NR1000 and Nitrate levels are always below 5-10ppm and that is with big messy fish. (25% water change every 2 weeks since the NR1000 has been in place, prior to that, water changes every 5-6 days)

Sorry I stuffed up did not mean to give you all a hart attack just added one to many zero's (typo) it is still high at 20 mg/L.
But I know I feed them too much they are real fat but I will slow down when they get in the bigger tank.See they are stuck in a small 200L when they get hungry they start fighting but when full they just chill out so I keep them full (Fat pigs lol).
Proteus I will look into a Aqua Medic NR1000 sounds like a good addition to my new 5x2x2 I got from you .I will post some pics of it when it is all up and running it's cycling now taking forever :(
