What would be the correct dosage for fungus infection and fin rot and how long do i leave the salt in the tank for?
Thanks.

Try 1 gram per liter adding it in slowly over a 24-48 hour period.
Remember to keep the water temp high as well, around 30-32 degrees celcius with heaps of aeration.

Salt dosage rate varies from fish to fish, some can tolerate higher salinity than others...............for Discus the norm is 1 teaspoon per 40 litres of water, but for fish like livebearers they can tolerate 1 teaspoon per 5 litres. The idea is to keep up the salt level until the infection has gone and healing is obvious, and this will also vary from fish to fish and depends on how advanced the infection is. From my limited experience with Discus species they dont really like salt at all, even at the low dose rate, but it will be of benefit in cure.
