White stuff on glass

Well i have white stuff growing all over the sides of the tank galss.
Don't know what it is and never seen it before. It appears to grow like a plant small at the base and then outward from there, Its no bigger then a match head in size and as mentioned before its spread all over the glass (came up over night). sorry i have no pics of it to show. I was hopeing someone would know what it is and how to get rid of it???

if its anything like this, then its a kind of fungus

Yep have the same stuff, seemed to appear along with Co2 dosing, doesn't cause any dramas, just needs brushing off regularly. At least it comes off easier than the dreaded tough as old boots green algae that needs a razor to scrape it off.
