View Full Version : remodeled the planted discus tank

Removed a few plants added more drift wood the discus seem to like it had 2 pair spawn a few days later eggs got eaten.
Tank 6x2x2 ft Filtration Fluval XF5,Aquaone1200,Pondmaster 36wUV,CO2 injection 60 bubbles min,undergravel heating cables,Substrate 1 inch pool filter sand, 2 inch mixed 50-50 Flourite gravel mix, Lighting Aqualina compact fluros 6x55watt,Water ph 6.2-6.5, 1/3 water change every weekend,Food Tetra colour bits,& Beefheart mix (ladyreds recipe )

hello, mate:

Awesome set up.

May i ask that what is the forground plants you usxed? hair grass?

Do your discus find difficulties in grazing food from the bushy plants?

Forground plants are hairgrass just waiting for it to cover the bare patches.
The discus have no trouble getting to food in the grass they just push into it and what they miss the other fish get ie rams ,black ghost knifefish.
