Thought I'd post these pics which I found found funny.
Parents have a lovely breeding cone, not to mention a PVC overflow (which they prefer, go figure....)
But look where they decide to move their wrigglers to - right around the intakes on the box filter
I've turned the filter off so they can't get sucked in - fingers crossed they should be free swimming today so won't be an issue...
Best I can tell there aren't any actually 'in' the filter - just all around the edges......

All ended up ok with the fry - they attached today.
I estimate about 80 - 100 fry.
Sorry for the bad pics - rather humid in the container atm - camera lens keeps fogging up

So what are the parents you have got to breed in this case.
From the picture perhaps a Red and white one and a blue truq?
Just for interest sake to see how the babies turn out frmo different crossings.

Hi mate
This pair have bred a couple of time previously - heres their first spawning last year
http://www.discusforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5240&highlight=
Fry are a mix of turqs, orange/whites, orange whites with turq coloured finnage, plus a few other 'interesting colour combinations'
I got a very nice snakeskin from their last spawn, plus a very finely patterned; looks like spots starting to form - both approaching 4 inches and starting to colour up. I kept both of these.
I'll try and take some better pics tonight....

Dave - You crossed those two fish and you didnt end up with almost 100% white based fish ?
Interesting - I wonder what a cross with blue knight x snow white will give.

Hi G
They've only had 2 small spawns previously - in both cases have been about
10% full R/W
30% Turq
50% R/W with turq fins
10% 'Other'
I pulled mum from the tank yesterday - she was cleaning the pvc and shimmying - didn't want them to spawn again & eat their fry - dad is looking after them ok & they have started taking BBS/dry food combo which is good.
Pics I took last night sucked - so will try again tonight.

6 days on all going well. Fry are eating BBS fine & getting bigger.
You can really see the colour difference in the fry now :)

Here are a couple of the fry I kept from the last spawn - they are about 4 inches now.
The turqs didn't want to be photogenic tho...
