Substrate in my 125g?

When I set my 125g tank up, I decided to use 3mm Coffs Harbour pebble for substrate, at that stage I didn't plan on having plants though, now that I've added the plants, I'm wondering if there is anything I can mix with the existing substrate that will help the plants grow?

The only thing I have come across so far that might help, is Red Sea Flora Root, has any one used it before, or do you have any other suggestions on what I could add?

u could also add seachem root tabs"very good" or even lateralite to ur substrate...
