i have this sterilyzer i got buying a used tank, and since my fry keep dying it's time to figure out how to use it
i figure id hook it up to a small powerhead, since my filter in breeding tank is a power filter with water going freely over the top
1. it's not marked which hole is input which is output.... it don't matter?
2. holes seem too big to fit a normal size hose, any ideas/suggestions?

Nope, it doesnt matter. The idea is just for the water pass trough the UV light.

Cant you use reducer ? Normally bunnings have them in the gardening section.

dr v is right, the important thing is that the water is exposed to the uv light so intake an output doesnt matter. not to sure on how to fix the hose problem though

If water is flowing too fast it will not be effective. exposure time is important and if the flow is to fast it might only be reducing algea. Also if the bulb has been touched or shows any smudges it might not be working properly.

yup rytis what you need to know is not the Input/Output but the recommended flow rate. maybe post the model and I'll look it up for you.
