hey guys:
I have a friend want to set up a fish only tank for discus (about 6 adult fish)
He asked me if he could have 2 eheim 2215 to do the filteration.
His tank is 4 foot by 18'' by 20'' (about 250L)
I was not sure if the flow rate was too strong for discus.
Please give some advice.
thanks

Just dipurse it through a couple spray bars.

You can never have enough filtration however that would be more than sufficient.
As those lovely ehiems would give a great deal of current id ensure th spray bars are postioned to kill off most of the turbulent water. eg face the rain bar towards the glass wall, or utilse a sponge or piece of heavy drift wood to disperse water flow.
pictures please!!!

As long as you position the returns correctly, no problems at all

I have a 2080 and 2229 on my 340L tank.
I use spraybars. I do not have a current problem.
I even have the old AquaClear 110/500 and Emperor 400 running on there temporarily until the new filters establish.

If the spray bars are spread out you wont have any problems. It's best if they are breaking the surfact and moving water on the bottom.
