MH intensity

well im switching from a reef tank to a discus tank in my 4X2X2... and ive already got dual 250watt metal halide lights... is this going to be to much for plants and the fish?

I don't think it will be to much for the plants infact I'm sure the plants will love it but it. Maybe one of our plant experts can back me up or correct me.

The discus is another story they don't like to much light and might be shy for awhile but i think as long as there are places for them to hide if they need to then they should be fine. Quite a few people have discus with MH lights and find it ok.
