I cant wait for the world cup to start!!!!!!!!!
They are going to have the games on the big screen at the pub around the corner from me but I will have to stay home and watch on little screen due to little bub.... (where was this pub when I was ringing around to try and find a place to watch on big screen without paying $25 buck to watch it at casino) I suppose Australia wasnt in it 4years ago and that makes all the difference....
Anyway Go Socceroos!!!!! and if they bomb out Go Holland!!!

Game against Japan is going to be interesting. Japan has the ability to take the game from us and at the same time offer the the game to us on a platter!!!

The more important thing for me though is how our players will respond to the big occasion and if they'll play like a team or individual stars. Downfall of most inexperienced World Cup qualifiers has been the inexperience of the players to cope with the big occasion. They either play below their ability, or try to show themselves off to the world and stuff up the team game!!!

Though Hiddink is a good coach; I used to watch him coach in Europe, he has the experience to enfuse our players to play like a they have been playing together for a long while.

I believe we have a good chance to advance to the second stage. First we must beat Japan though!

I love this game :thumb (says the guy who was named after a soccer player :roll: )

They just have to learn to cover the space better.... they gave holland much too much space!

It was very promising though... but Viduka better start practising his penalty shots... we were just lucky that cahill was there to crumb!!!!

Guus Hiddink is a great coach and i expected that because teams pay big backs for him thats for sure

It's gonna be though, if you go through in you'll have to play either Italy or the Czech Republic :shock:
Portugal will probably get Argentina or the Netherlands. Though luck.

Never underestimate your opponent... especially Brazil.... Now is not the time for us to get all "big for our boots"..

It is going to take extreme skill to beat Brazil, I only saw 10 min of their match the other night against Croatia and I couldnt believe their footwork. Its so quick and close to the bodies... they are amazing at getting the ball around an opponent!! I think we will do well if we can just stop them scoring a goal, let alone kick one ourselves...

By the way Cam, Re read my post and you will laugh I just realised That I said we played ourselves in the Friendly.. (of course Imeant Holland) Doh!!!

Wow! Ghana did extremely well didnt they? Really proved themselves....
Getting prepared for tonight!!!!! Worried that I wont be able to keep my eyes open...

The other night I started watching Netherlands game and fell asleep sitting up!!! I woke up to the celebrations of the second goal and had been asleep sitting up for about 20 minutes... yes! I fell asleep about 6 minutes into the game!!!! LOL

What can I do??? might go to bed early and set alarm for 2... but then I bet I cant get to sleep.. its a catch 22 I am afraid...

Well it's official. FIFA is a bunch of corrupt cheating bastards.
It's not me a bad loser, the Aussie's were robbed and the victim of crap reffing again.

Think about it from FIFA's point of view. Who's gonna watch if Australia makes the final? No one. No one watches, FIFA loses money. Therefore, keep the big countries in it, in this case Italy, and reap the rewards.

i have to admit, i was for Italy 100% they are my favorite team all the way due to their anti-warism.... but when i saw what they got the penalty kick for i was 100% for them missing it :(

Should be interesting to see how this angler handles the situation.

Will they:

a) Re bait the hook with some juicier bait.

b) Set up some more lines in the same spot and hope that they may get more bites that way.

c)Start throwing lines out in all directions in case the fish are lurking in other areas of the pond.

d)Employ the use of a dragnet in total desperation. In an attempt to net many a fish.

e)Pack up and go home and wait for a change in the weather.

I think option c) may be employed at first.

all my friends think portugal will win, but i think italy will win and italy is my favorite... they will crush germans.... french will beat portugal also.. it wil be french vs. italy in the finals and italy will beat french in finals, that is my prediction...

i like all remaining teams though besides germans...
