hi all once again, i have a 2x2x18 tank with a breading pair of reds in it with wriglers, and went up close to the glass for a closer look, and noticed there is a heap of tiny orinisms swiming around in there, the tank its off the system as the wriglers, but i have never seen this before, they are so tiny i can barely make them out with the naked eye.
any ideas???
thanks

Can you describe them?

Sounds very much like planaria Shane. Are they a white or light brown worm that moves through the water in an "s" shape, very fine, about the thickness of a human hair. Relatively harmless, but it is an indication that you are overfeeding or not doing enough water changes.
If you have gravel in that tank, then do a thorough gravel vac and a large water change each day for the next week or so.
We never seem to be able to get rid of them completely, but the idea is to keep the population under control.

na they dont look like a worm but they are so small i cannot tell, they move so fast and seem to be mainly on the glass only.
look more like a circle than a worm
