So I am going to drill my tank. Any suggestions on pipe/hole sizes, and number of pipes?
I have a 6*2*2 tank, holding about 600 litres, and am going to drill the tank to run into a sump and back again, based on the turnover 4 time an hour rule, I will run a 2400 lph (approx, might need slightly bigger to negate the head height) return pump.
What size piping should I use for this? And do I need 2 outgoing pipes? My initial thoughts was to have 2 holes to support 20 mm pipe. One at each end with one draining water out, and the other being the return, however I have seen a number of tanks this size with 2 draining pipe around this size, and read a post somewhere (might not have been this forum) that recommended using 50 piping.
Thoughts, Suggestions??
Oh yeah, and this tank will have discus at some stage, that is the whole point afterall.. 8-)
