I have just posted a couple of photo's in another topic - and if you will excuse the expression they were shit. Anybody or everybody who has some tips - lets hear them.

i see photos of fish and think, god mine rock
take a pic and i hesitate to show anyone.
i've worked out you need ampel light and a good program to do some editing

Take the pic at an angle to minimise reflection.
Best time to take pics is at night, when you can block all other light other than what is on the tank.
Lots of lighting, even if you have a small desk lamp, if it can be used SAFELY, by all means use it.
And a good digi camera that you can tweak the settings helps as well...

also, i find that turning the flash off makes your photos appear 100% better, cause then there isnt any reflection in the glass
