Looks great. Mind if I ask:-
1. What substrate are you using? It looks interesting.
2. Where did you get your driftwood?
3. Do you have a photo of the tank without the lights on?

it`s a bit hard to tell by that photo, but it looks like the plants you have in there are jap rush, mondo grass and kentia palms.
all of which are sold by aquarium shops as aquarium plants.
these plants are not able to survive indefinately as submerged plants.
so I would not worry about co2, they r going to die anyway!
I may be wrong about the I.D. on those plants but thats what they look like from here.
maybe try to get some off cuts from planted tank lovers in your area.
always another enthusiest around the corner somewhere.

I think you are very right. They will last if your lucky 2 weeks to a month.

Great tank.
Just a quick suggestion. You should try adding, let's say a black background in your tank. It would give a sense of depth, and would hide the wiring :wink: It also looks good with the green of the plants.
If you're planning on using Co2, try anubias, some echinodorus, java fern, etc. They don't need any extra requirements and still look nice in a tank.

Hi all,

Not too sure on the name of the plant. I got them from a fish farm wholesaler. I think there are some hair grass, mondo, etc. May be you are right. Some of them don't seem to be doing good :( . There are some Java fern in there and they are doing great.

Yes, will add a background soon. Will update photo again when I made the hood as well as the backgroud.

There are 3 layer of substrate, bottom most is potting mix for aquarium (bought from bunning), middle is a layer of pool filter sand and the uppest is a mixture of 1mm coff harbour and black gravel.

Got the log and wood from a friend.

Don't have a picture with light off, never thought to try :oops: . might try one day :wink:
