He says it needs a new pump to complete the unit ???????????
Does that mean it's not working.
Sounds very cheap, but it's quite an old model, and I'd want to see it first, especially if it's not working.

he said he bought it about $300+, i cant recall at anytime the 2250 and 2260 model were sold below $450

Yes, you need to check the condition before you take it home. But if it's $50 or less I think it's worth a buy. My Eheim 2213 is over 15 years old and still running very well (except I replaced the impeller, but I didn't need too).
I also have 3 spares eheim water pumps that would fit.
It's pick up only and I am in Perth.
PS: I don't know the person nor the filter, so buy at your own risk.

I picked up 2226 at the local boot sale a few weeks ago for £26 here in the UK, £13 for a gasket and I had an excellent bargain, runs like new and had new media with it :)
