Hi All,

Our shipment of Japanese Filter Matting has just arrived. Here is a rundown,

Japanese Filter Matting 380mm x 380mm x 40mm )

Japanese Filter Matting is a polyester-based material that provides a superior surface for biological activity. To function properly, the material should be cut to fit exactly into your filter chamber. The matting is extremely long-lasting, and will not deteriorate in the water.

Japanese Filter Matting requires little maintenance and provides an excellent base for bacterial growth that aids in the elimination of fish waste. When rare periodic cleaning is required, be sure not to remove significant amounts of biomass.

Lightweight material

Large surface area for bacterial growth

Does not deteriorate in the water

Hi Jho,

The Japanese Matting can be used in conjunction with fine or coarse filter material or used exclusively with quality filtration media such as Aquaclay.
