Nice setup. Can we have a little details about the setup ? ie: filtration, substrate, tank size, etc ?

Cant wait till you add more fish ^^

Good luck

thanks guys!

here are the specs:
6x2x2 4 sided starfire with perimeter bracing
2x Aquaclear 300 HOB filters
2x 300w Jager heaters
3x 20kg bags of Blue Circle Sand (for pool filters)
plastic rocks
2x 40w lights (from a lamp)

Would like to get a cannister filter, proper lighting in the form of HO T5s, CO2 set-up, plant susbtrate like ADA Aquasoil, and of course plants but only carpet or foreground plants...

as for fish: 4 discus, ~68 neons

so i guess this is only phase 1... more phases to go... :-)

hihihi, i know right plastic! i didnt think i was going to go plastic since i was looking for so long for rocks but then we stumbled upon them in a pet store, tucked under a tank gathering dust... at first we thought they were real! so when we found out they were plastic, thought to go plastic rather than real ones since it would have been so heavy if they were real...

i never did like plastic rocks apart from these ones... :-)

To jho51e:

Oh...mate. Your set up is truly amazing.

You know, the "rock" you got scared me a little on the first place. They looked so real, i was worrying about it might increase PH or hardness level which discus do not like.

But as you said they were only artificial ones, what a find!!

I have seen people like to choose pool filter sand. I am not sure about the logic behind. Is it because they are heavier?

If they are heavier, that is definitely a good thing. Cos filter wound not easily suck them out ....

Well, mate. keep your pics coming.

Look forward to see them
