discus an stress bars

my discus just recently got sick and nearly died, so there stress bars were very visible, they seemed to have recovered quite well and are eating well and arent hiding or anything like that.

the thing is there stress bars havnt gone, will they stay like that forever or what will happen?

Stress bars do not necessarily depict sickness or ill health. So dont read into it to much.

What strain is the fish? Supply a picture please that may tell us more if you require it.

Stress bars come and go Nathan. Some fish like turquoise will show them at times, and at other times not at all. Then of course there are the fish bred without stress bars at all, like blue diamonds.

So, nothing to worry about, just a normal colour variation. The dorsal fin is a better indicator of fish health and happiness. :wink:
