Sadly Ben I think this pair might be 2 female as the (male) is busy cleaning his own spawning spot tonight.I hope i'm wrong.

Fingers crossed for you Brad. What does the 'male's' breeding tube look like.

Does it appear to be male or female.

Remember this is their first spawn, so they may still be working things out. Either that, or they may be preparing a spot for the wrigglers to go once they hatch.

Time will tell.

That what I hope he was doing.
The male's tube I haven't seen fully lowered yet,but it look pretty large for a male's.Saying that I have another male which vent look the same.
All eggs are gone,she layed after 11pm a couple of hours after I covered the front of the tank with a towel,so they would spawn and stop waiting for me to feed them.
I never witness it,he might have been getting some zzz while she layed.

Hey Brad, You may be in luck, i had the same thing a few weeks back. Thought i had 2 female NRT's laying,just by the laying action and the tubes, but have a large batch of fry from them now. And first go as well. The males tube was almost the same as the females on this pair, go figure???

Hi all
Sadly I was right about the male albino,he is a she as I have just seen it lay some eggs.The other female looks like she laying as well but in a nother spot in the tank.I hope to see her tonight laying egg aswell to be 100% sure.
