PM stuck in Outbox

I have a private message that I am trying to send however it is stuck in my outbox and I have no idea on how to get it to send. Can you please help me. I am on a Mac and may be missing buttons. Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing to worry about Robin. It stays in your outbox till the recipient has opened it, then it moves into your sent box.

Just an easy way to check if he/she has seen your message.
