The 3 trays in a cannister filter - What have you all got?

What has everyone got in the 3 trays of their cannister. I have got:

Bottom: Noodles
Middle: Noodles
Top: Sponge

What would be the best media to have for discus?

Top - Micromec and Course sponge only

(I use Canisters for Biological filtration only, Mechanical filtration is done by large sumps on each tank)
