Something to keep my discus company

Well, I have 1 discus in with 12 cardinals, and I must admit he looks a bit lonesome, so I was thinking of maybe adding a couple of gouramis but am worried about the gouramis being kept at 86F temp, what do you think. If not I was considering maybe 2 bolivian rams, can you tell the male & female of these? as I understand that 2 males will bicker and I don't want any of that. Tank is 3', 40 gal.

why not buy 3 more discus I have 20 in my 6ft tank.

I agree with revkev why don't you add more DISCUS to your tank? why are you interested in other species only.. :?

I had 5 discus before about 3 yrs ago and all they did was bully each other!! From what I have read it is better to keep a lot of them to reduce this bullying, I lost one that was literally bullied to death and I took the others back to the store. :(
