I bit the bullet and removed the pair tonight.
They have done a greta job as 99% of hatched eggs are now 2 week old fry.
2/3 of the eggs hatch as he missed one side of the pipe she layed on which i forgive him.
This is the first time I have had a go at a solid red fish discus and I am pretty happy withe the result 120 fry only on deform ( only has one eye).
They all are the same size and I hope I keep that going,so a few photo's of the babies having there first feed without mum and dad.

Congratulations Brad.
I have a PB female that laid eggs and the RSG male (Very Young) was guarding it then suddenly it started eating the eggs. This is the 3rd time this had happened. The egss were fertile as it was very bright orange.
Sigh.
:(
Oh well better luck next time.

That's funny you say that, as the wangaratta water comes partly out of the King river which run into the ovens in Wangaratta and the ovens river then runs into the great Murray river.
