These are the strains of endlers that I have in collection. Most are wild naturally occuring strains collected by Armando Pou in Venezuala.

Pictures borrowed from Swampriver USA

I have a weakness for guppies, so if you guy's have any heart at all don't

post pictures of them or suggest how one can order them.

Would they be very expensive for a breeding trio Kev ?

Not that I would dream of getting any ( i'm weak )

Out of interest what do the Red females look like ?

And are the babies born showing signs of Red ?

Some time ago I got some black guppies magnificent from SLS but I let them mix in with all the rest silly me !!!

Will look for a pic of one of them........

Cheers,

Mark

Other fancy guppies we are breeding to make the price more affordable for hobbyist in Australia are:

1.RREA full red delta tail (this one is a challenge... very weak fish. :? )

2.RREA Platinum and Platinum swallowtail delta tail (like pictured above, all metallic white fish)

3.Moscow Full Black delta tail (this is a full black fish from nose to tail.... should have quite a few of these to release soon).

4. Japanese blue grass

Note these are pure line-bred guppies, stocks obtained from Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.

RREA= Real Red Eye (aka albino)

Just been notified that the once endlers livebearer, Poecilia sp "Endlers" has finally received it's propper name: Poecilia wingei

Poeser, FN, M Kempkes, & IJH Isbrücker, 2005. Description of Poecilia (Acanthophacelus) wingei n. sp. from the Paría Peninsula, Venezuela, including notes on Acanthophacelus Eigenmann, 1907 and other subgenera of Poecilia Bloch and Schneider, 1808 (Teleostei, Cyprinodontiformes, Poeciliidae). Contributions to Zoology 74: 97–115.

Abstract
The taxonomy of the common guppy, Poecilia reticulata Peters, 1859, is reviewed and the closely related Campoma guppy, P. wingei n. sp., is described. Formerly, the common guppy was not judged to be closely related to any other species of Poecilia, but the new species is the second species to be allocated in the subgenus Acanthophacelus Eigenmann, 1907. The recognition of P. wingei results from observed character displacement, i.e., on the interaction between two closely related species in a shared environment. In addition to differences in coloration, behaviour also indicates specific differences. The area in which P. wingei occurs, the Campoma region at the base of the Paría Peninsula in Venezuela, hints to an origin of the subgenus Acanthophacelus prior to the uplift of the Cordilleras, i.e. the eastern orogenesis of the Andes. Moreover, an explanation is offered for aberrant molecular data in Trinidadian guppies.
