Hey all,
I have 2 farlowellas(twig catfish) in my south american cichlid tank that are getting a little big for their home, so I am considering moving them to my bigger discus tank. Does anyone know if they suck onto the sides of discus like some suckermouth catfishes?
Any reason I shouldn't put them in?

They'll go fine with your discus. No worries.

Very nice cat to put in with discus!

Just make sure there is plenty of algae
for them to eat!

Twigs like water no higher than 28.c..Also they prefer oxygen rich water. I have just bred quite a few...will take pics in the next day or 2.

Here is a pic of thier breeding tank..

The fry saver has almost 40 babies in it. I have found it works great as the fries do not have to travel far for food.

Good work Ben!

I've spawned Whiptails before, but i couldn't seem to raise the fry up, even in a small tank and fry saver.

I did everything, but the fry just didn't eat and just died.
i fed microworms, bbs, flake, algae tabs, natural green algae grown on rocks, green water algae...no luck.

What do you feed the fry?

I even tried taking the dad out, and tried leaving him in with the fry, both no success.
