Box Filter DYI any ideas???

Hey guys,

Does anyone have a home made DYI box filter plan, i have made the basic coke bottle box filter. Just wondering if there is a new super duper plan in the making ??? Am bringing some more tanks online and was surprised at the price of simple box filter. :shock: Just needing them for breeding tanks, so they dont need to be state of the art.
Any help wld be much appreciated.

upside down funnels work well placed inside any plastic container
drill some holes in the funnel place an airline/stone out the top of the funnel spout and fill will whatever media you choose

also good old pvc pipe can be placed into whatever shape foam you would like to cut (freezing foam whilst moist makes it much easier to cut) and then attaching power head makes a simple sponge filter though because the sponge is not encased in abox it is harder to remove the waste that accumulates on the sponge
