Hi all,

Just started on my 2nd tank its secondhand and just cleaning it up.

The thing is it had a polystyrene background which was falling apart and siliconed to the back inside of the tank. I have taken it out and i have scraped the silicon off but their is still a fine film still there what product is safe enough to remove this film.

I believe acetone should do the trick, or a heat gun will make it pliable enough for you to scrape off with something like a plastic spatula.

Managed to get it all off with a good sharp blade just kept at it till all gone,looking good.
