Beef Kidneys

[mistakes r crucial]

Has anyone ever used beef kidneys in their mix or have any information as to whether it is good, bad or otherwise?

I've used liver, for the added iron, but never kidneys. Can't imagine what they could add to the mix. Are they extra high in vitamins or protein?

Hi Mac,

i have used veal liver in my BH recipe before but found it to be of no added benifet.

You could try using the kidneys but i would recommend using veal/calf's kidneys instead of beef kidneys.

As kidneys are urine filters, it is best to use them when they have not been subjected to lots of work and age.

Better in the steak and kidney pie than the fish food i think. :wink:
