If memory serves me correctly that is a pic of Lo wing yats from Hong Kong. He is the original namer of that strain and that pic is maybe 12 to 15 years old. Great looking discus.

I was loving it till i saw the name "red diamond" i have seen so many different colored fish called a red diamond its getting beyond a joke.
I like that article that kev posted a while back, which meantioned not too use any colors in the name. So if its a turq thats it, pigeon blood. etc.
Of course the strains like GLSS would still sell for more as the strain speaks for itself.

You'll find that most "common" red diamonds look nothing like that, as that one is obviously hormone induced. With common red diamonds the body is blue based like the blue diamond and the red is the patterning colour. You could almost call them a blue turquise but have light pastel body colour. However the overall colour of the fish on all the ones iv'e seen doesn't cover alot of the body. They are still a nice looking fish and don't doubt their are some nicer ones out their than the one's i've seen.
