Grant there are a few books that have this diagnosis in them. Its an excellent idea to work out what the problem is.

But remember!

Prevention is better than cure!

I purchased the book

Handbook of Fish Diseases by Dieter Untergasser which has heaps of flow diagrams.

I find them some what confusing and difficult to follow, so i just read the section about specific ailments and their treatment.

I also agree prevention is better than cure.
