What is the best size gravel for a planted tank that will be running a undergravel heater? :?

nice to have you on board,
i use 2mm washed gravel, seems to let water movement through the profile, cleans well and allow for plants to ancoor well.
although this is mine personal choice thats all

Yeah i like the 2-3mm seems like a nice size, dopnt have any reasoning but i could imgaine smaller would be a hassel to clean.
Then again dont mind river pebbles if you can find some for sale, normally if i find a lfs with a couple of bags ill grab them even if i dont need them, for some reason i just like the look of river pebbles just looks a bit more natural.

thanks for the information what is the best type of gravel to use i have heard that iornstone is good but hard to get and can be expensive?

most river rocks / pebbles are good as long as thier NOT calcium based.

Just dont get caught taking them out of the river, had a LFS get caught got wacked with a $10,000 fine.
