How Long do Tanks Last...

Hi guys and girls just curious on the life of a Tank, basic ones with silcon up the sides.... :twisted:

Didn't know tanks had a lifespan. Some of my tanks are decades old and still going strong.

I had a tank that was older than me!
over 30 years old!

the glass lasts, its the silicon that might need patching up.

hi mate ive had a tank for 12+ years and it has travelled around the country with me sad thing is it finally gave way last night 200l of water everywhere saved the fish but :)

Hmm. I've never had the silicone fail on my tanks. Just lucky from the sounds of it.

That's what I was getting how long till they give way. Ive got a tank over 10 years old hexagonal shape with black silicon I expect this one to split before rectangle ones
